How to Use

Six Steps to Walking Better

Follow these steps each month to get the most out of your Walk-BEST™ Agenda.

Assess Yourself

Perform the self-tests on pages 5 & 6 to establish your baseline across all elements of walking.

Set SMART Goals

Use the SMART framework to formulate goals that are specific and achievable. Write your goals in the provided spaces.

Pick 4 Goal Stickers

Each month, choose 4 goals to focus on. Get the matching stickers from the back of the book and place them on the large circles.

Decide Your Frequency

In the smaller circle, write how many times per week you’ll work on each goal. Be realistic — some can be daily, others 2–3 times a week.

Exercise

Follow the exercise guide (pages 57–64) to do the movements that support each goal. Work at a comfortable-to-slightly-strenuous pace.
