When she put on the band, her pain went away. However, when she takes it off, the back of her knee hurts. Any suggestions for adjustments?

Suggestions:

This can happen if the bands are not loosened or removed while sitting.

Make sure the band is situated 2 fingers below the fold in your knee when sitting.

Make sure that when you walk, you make an effort to straighten your knee with each step.

Start with short periods of wear and remove them frequently until you get used to them.

Try loosening them a little.

Use them for the most painful activities, such as gym exercises specifically activating the structures around the knees, sports, or when climbing stairs. As these exercises strengthen and protect your knees, you should see an improvement.

Apply an ice pack to the back of the knee when you take them off.
