Kedar Mate, PhD
Dr. Kedar Mate is a post-doctoral fellow in the department of Orthopedics at the Mayo Clinic, Arizona USA. His post-doctoral work is focused on developing sarcoma-specific preference-based patient-report outcome index and patient-reported experience index. He is a physical therapist by training and completed his PhD in Rehabilitation from McGill University. His area of research is development of health outcomes measure using modern psychometrics such as Rasch Measurement Theory and knowledge translation. He is also interested in advanced statistical methods such as Structured Equation Modelling, Latent Class Analysis. His clinical and research training has prepared him to embark on an academic career focused on developing interventions to improve health in vulnerable populations and mentoring students.
